In honor of the Museum’s 50th birthday, a six-week Summer Arts Program with four classes was inaugurated. The program was funded in part by a grant from the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. The program is also part of a year-long community outreach: “Opening New Doors through the Arts”, a grant funded in part by the Arts Council of Southern Indiana.

A temporary new access ramp has been installed and the audience is invited to participate in the planning of a future Carriage House adaptive-restoration project by filling out a “Dream Use for the Community” questionnaire.

For more information please contact: Janice Molnar, Arts Project Director, at 282-2151 for more information about this Saturday’s Arts Exhibit or future arts classes such as Saturday Family Arts, Victorian Arts, and Storytelling, or upcoming events such as the March local artist Juried Art Exhibit. Check out www.steamboatmuseum.org for a calendar and updates. The Howard Steamboat Museum is on 1101 Market Street, Jeffersonville, across from JeffBoat.
