Julie and Warren Payne Honored As Gold Leaf Volunteers

Julie and Warren Payne accompanied by Yvonne Knight and Diane Stawar

The Gold Leaf Volunteer Luncheon was established in 2000 by the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana (CFSI) as a way to support and encourage area organizations by helping them recognize their volunteers and gain greater public awareness.

For the past five years, Warren & Julie have served as the co-curators for the museum's annual Fall Into Art exhibit. In 2006, using their extensive photography, design, layout and editing skills, they (along with Mary Starr and Madeline Covi) created a beautiful and comprehensive catalog to accompany the exhibit, Norman Kohlhepp: Artist. Other curatorial duties for the five exhibits included: selection and arrangement of works of art, "hanging" the exhibit, theme development, etc. Julie & Warren have added an experienced and professional approach to the annual exhibit. Their involvement has heightened the reputation of the Howard Steamboat Museum within the Louisville-Metro art community.
