A New Summer Intern at the Howard

People at the Howard Steamboat Museum feel pleased and fortunate to have Rose Zimmerman working as a summer intern for 2007. Rose is a a senior at Hanover College with a major in sociology and a minor in Spanish. She hails from Georgetown, Indiana.

Rose enjoys meeting new people in the course of giving tours at the museum. As she puts it, “there’s never a dull moment.” She has been especially charmed by the ability of children to come up with questions that no adult has ever thought of.

The Rivers Institute at Hanover College is sponsoring this internship position. The Rivers Institute is the first academic program in the world to use liberal arts for the interdisciplinary and collaborative study of the river. The Rivers Institute was established by a generous five-year grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
